I hope so too because I aint checking over it!
It would be really great if Alan got a GM norm, or any norm for that matter! Does Alan already have any norms? |

Got to a drawn Q+R+3 vs Q+R+2 ending but ended up chucking a pawn in mutual time pressure and lost in 70 moves.... Oh well! |

Well, Alan is +38 elo points taking him to 2272 so far. A couple of wins would get him very close to 2300 and the FM title. (As if it is that easy to get wins in the company he has been keeping.) |

Unlucky Alan - the game score finishes at move 46, thought you'd lost on time. You played a really good game though, so don't be disheartened at all - bounce back tomorrow with a win! Good luck

Don't you get norms for 7 round performances in which case, isn't that a GM norm? |

Fantastic effort Alan! Keep it going for the last 2 rounds!
In answer to GN's post, I believe that 7 Round GM norms are only possible in 7 Round tournaments (such as the European Team Championship). Today's win keeps him on track, and guarantees the IM norm. Great stuff. |
