I stated earlier that it's an honour for my children to represent their country.
It is though quite an expensive honour and if you play all the representative tournaments it's a very expensive honour.
Steven H is right. This won't change until Chess is recognised as a 'Sport'
Meanwhile Norway have put together over $10 million to put together a bid for the Olympiad.
Meanwhile there's no money to back aspiring juniors here in Scotland whilst ancient chess pieces are shown off to the Scottish Public at what cost?
