If a junior player is listed with an unknown age J??:

1) A graded J?? will be given the wrong junior addition until such time as we find out the actual age.

2) The player cannot be allocated to the Grand Prix since it is an age based competition.

3) The player's identification is much more difficult since if we know the date of birth we are less likely to get the player confused with another player of similar name.

Please send dates of birth to grading@chessscotland.com and the player database can be updated. Calculations will be retrospectively updated throughout the whole season when the new dob information is supplied.
