Laughing Excellent, and not one mention of dodgy insurance salesmen either.

I detected Just one small, barely perceptible innacurracy. The game you describe, was not actually against FM Galic. It was in fact against ex-world champion GM Topalov, moonlighting for Bosnia after an argument with his manager, and began 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 Bg4 4.dxe5 Bxf3 5. Qxf3 dxe5 6.Bc4 Nf6 7.Qb3 Qe7 8. Nc3 c6 9. Bg5 b5 10. Nxb5?? cxb5!!. A careless blunder of a piece there ( Of course, I thought the pawn was on c7, not c6. You see my opponent played 8...c6 but wrote 8...h6 on his scoresheet, which I assumed was legally binding) But never mind, I won the game so we will call it an inspired sacrifice.

Unfortunately I have lost the game score and can't remember the remaining moves ( which were all a bit random and anti-positional anyway). I do know that GM Topalov was surprised to be mated by a stunning queen sacrifice around move 17, and just had time to warmly congratulate me on my obviously original, yet somehow strangely Morphyesque achievement. Then his phone rang and he rushed off to the gents.

Hi.

You do realise that you are now part of chess lore and a
'Stevenson' is move written down on the score sheet but
not actually played on the board.

I'm sure other 'game enterers' will confirm that 'c' and 'e' are often
badly written. A few times I've started of 1.e4 e5 only to figure out
when 3.Bb5 or 3.Bc4 was not played it was infact 1.c4 c5. or 1.c4 e5.
