GP output is automatically created from grading data. The organisers of the CS Grand Prix have added this clarification to next season's rules for the Grand Prix.
If results of a GRAND PRIX eligible event are not processed for grading within one month of the final day of an event then the event will not be eligible for Grand Prix points. (Organisers should contact grading@chessscotland.com immediately if there is some reason why results cannot be supplied in that time period - and the time limit will be reviewed).

Dalguise 2007: Unfortunately we have not yet been able to get the grading data for the Dalguise tournament from October 2007. If data is supplied before the grading deadline of June 30, 2008 it will be graded but will NOT count for the 2007-2008 Grand Prix. After discussion with various officials it was considered unfair for players in a potential GP prizewinning position to have an event from several months before added at the end of the season. Dalguise 2008 can be graded as normal and included in the Grand Prix. |
