There is no direct Croy Stirling service on Sundays, you will need to change at Glasgow Queen Street or alternatively get the X39 from Stirling Bus Station to Condorrat and walk up the North Rd over the A80 to St Maurice's HS.

#43 Canavan Coaches buses depart from the bus stop on the opposite side of Constary Road from the Railway station i.e. the main road outside the station, not from the forecourt. They are every 20 mins Mon-Sat but the last one from Croy is at 1741. You would get this bus to the Craiglinn interchange and walk from there to St Maurices.
The timetable can be found here
http://web.onetel.com/~andypreece/timetables/can43.htm

#403 First service departs from Croy Station Forecourt. It operates in the evenings and all day on Sundays. You would get this bus to the Craiglinn interchange and walk from there.
The timetable can be found here

#147 Henderson Travel departs from Croy station Forecourt. It operates in the evenings and all day on Sundays. This bus actually drives right part St Maurices HS and will take you past the Sports Centre after a detour of Westfield (where Gregory lived!).
The timetable can be found here
http://web.onetel.com/~andypreece/timetables/hen47.htm

The last I heard, the Scottish Lightning event was going to be held in the Smiddy Inn in the Balloch district of Cumbernauld. You would get either the 348 or the 403 from the station forecourt.
The timetable can be found here

Eastfield Cars (01236-730009), Cumbernauld TOA Taxis (01236-738383) and Central Cabs (01236 722772) have all quoted me a fare between £3.00 to £3.50 for a journey from Croy station to St Maurices HS and the fare is not dependent on the amount of people using the cab. Note that the control centre for Eastfield Cabs is right beside the Smiddy Inn.

The following website http://www.the-ice-station.co.uk/lane.html gives directions (follow the short walk option) with photographs from Croy Station to Broadwood Stadium which will take you to the Craiglinn roundabout. Rather than walking down the hill to the stadium you should follow the path that takes you under the Craiglinn Roundabout and then veer right (straight ahead takes you to the Craiglinn Bus interchange) which will take you back under the Craiglinn roundabout and onto the Westfield Road footpath. You will see St Maurices on your left behind the fence, however the sports complex entrance is located off the North Road which intersects Westfield Rd at St Maurice's Roundabout.
