After round 5, with Ireland A and Ireland B drawing 1.5-1.5, the Scottish Faber team are 3.5 points ahead and have won the Faber cup with a round to spare
Congratulations to WFM Rhian Hughes, Ali Roy and Alice Lampard!!

Fantastic Achievement
18 games played in total by our 3 girls
10 wins
7 draws
1 loss - which happened in the final round after the tournament was won.
Of the two teams in equal second place
Ireland A lost 5 individual games
England lost 6.
Also worth noting is fair play from the Irish B team who drew 1.5 all with their A team on the final morning. A result which in hindsight cost the Ireland A team second place. |
