|
|
The winners of both League Division 1 and 2 were decided at Bearsden Chess Club tonight:
Bearsden A beat Dalmuir A tonight to win the League outright, with Shettleston taking second place. Concord beat Bearsden B to win League Division 2, and hence promotion to Division 1. Runners-up (also promoted) have yet to be determined.
The League Team Knockout Tournament was decided last week when Bearsden A beat Shettleston in what was probably the highest graded match ever played in the Dumbarton League, with one GM, two IMs and only one player below 2000 (just!).
Thanks to the hundreds of players who participated in the League this year, battling with the extreme weather at times, making it another exciting season.
Full details on the League Website.
