Due to a poor entry it is not viable to run the event this year. All those who have entered by e mail will have an e mail explaining this. The few who entered by post will have their cheques torn up. |

Phil Thomas and Andrew Macqueen are running the Eastwood allegro at the Clarkston Halls tomorrow night (21st May) . The following words have just been sent out by e mail to explain the situation. Please pass them on with my apologies to any confused chess players you know.
The let is free.
Giffnock club will break even
Any one who turns up gets an evening of competitive chess graded on the allegro list.
Games start at 7-00 p.m.
Entries accepted up to that time without late entry fee.
Sections will be decided a few minutes before 7-00 p.m. likely to be two sections as advertised.
Entry fees will be as advertised adult £6, juniors £3.50
