Open Festival “Varna” (Bulgaria) 11-20 June News from Bulgaria of a new open alongside strong schools competitions i.e. the 4th European OPEN School Chess Team Championship and the 6th European OPEN Festival “The Hopes of the World” – for school champions, which will take place from the 11th to 21st and 22nd to 29th of June 2009. Play is in the “Grand Hotel Varna”, which is located in the Black Sea resort named “St. st. Constantine and Elena”, 8 kilometers away from the city of Varna, Bulgaria. Organisers hope that players will be attracted by the sunny beaches and the sea.
