held in Tbilisi!
Top-seeded Nadezhda Kosintseva from Russia beat Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant of Scotland for a maximum three points from as many games. The older of the Russian Kosintseva sisters entered the Tbilisi tournament with a 2005 European championship silver and a 2007 bronze. Keti got bronze in 2001.
Unfortunately today she could only draw her game. She is seeded 15/130. If I'd played I'd have been seeded 123. I took part in 2004 in Dresden & learned the CaroKann there Smile
I wish Keti good luck - it's not too late to get back to the top!

Tomorrow she plays with black against Alexandra Kosteniuk - g l !
Yous may think that a women's congress is nothing much to write about - but the top 30 players are rated 2400+ Smile

If she wins her last two games is she guaranteed to be European Champion?

It's a shame that there aren't any other female Scottish chess players who could have went and benefited from the experience.

If Keti wins her penultimate match against the leader Viktorija Cmilyte then she would most probably play the winner of the game between the other two players on 7, Stefanova and Lahno. Should they draw then a win against any opposition in the final round would ensure victory for Keti.

Two wins would definitely see Keti as the champion.

The German chessbase gives you a nice pic of Keti http://www.chessbase.de/nachrichten.asp?newsid=11684 & tells you that she's in good form.
Unfortunately she lost to the tournament leader.
Keti is playing Lahno Katerina in the last round - g l !
