Dear all

Chess South Africa (CHESSA) would cordially like to invite you to nominate two official players, one male and one female, to participate in the 2011 Commonwealth and South African Open Chess Championships which will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa from the 25th June – 3rd July 2011.

Official entrants will receive free entry into the tournament and may also apply directly to the tournament convenor Mr Graham Jurgensen (copied) should they wish to be considered for further conditions. Requests for further conditions will be assessed by the local organising committee on an case by case basis and will be awarded based on a merit system, taking into account the FIDE rating and / or titles of the relevant applicants.

The tournament is aiming to attract players from the majority of the 54 Commonwealth member countries and will be run under the auspices of both CHESSA and the Commonwealth Chess Association.
