Scott Allison has reported the following:-

On Saturday at Dukinfield Town Hall Sam again qualified for the UK Chess Challenge Terafinal (the final 62 out of approx. 70,000 players). Sam Allison got 5.5 out of 6 which included a win over Declan Shafi, who was unfortunately in the same group.

Unfortunately he did not detail anyone else's results.

Fantastic news, well done Sam. He deserves it for working so hard these past few months.

Another Gigafinal result coming in on the ticker tape....

"...Fergus Skillen played on the Sunday and won his U11 section with 5.5 out of 6 with a grand master draw in round 6 just to make sure the cash prize wasnt split!

Sam and Fergus are the only two Scottish players in the Terafinal this year with, from memory, an U8 from Aberdeen in the Challengers."

Well done! And good luck in the finals - 20/21st of August.
