Is there anyone from Scotland playing in the British Rapidplay this year?

Hi John

Only you?

If so, then it's not going to take up much of my time updating scores on this thread.

I'm intending to play the minor, as if that's of interest to anyone, entry form off today anyway. Not looking for much except a good run out and keep the cogs well oiled.

It -Halifax- appears to be only 1 hr -ish- up the road from here (Hull) -so says my Garmin anyway.

Good Luck people and my advice to all players taking part in the
Rapid Play is to take your time.

Entry form is away.

Andrew I don't know about a great player, but thanks anyway. I will do my best.

Should I take GC advice and play slowly, how about 25 minutes over my first 10 moves? That would bore my opponents to sleep, followed by an adrenalin rush of a 5 min game. Only problem is that they would still have 28 mins left on their clock.
