For Alex

With a mixture of Maths and Psychology I still think that updating the list every 2 months will encourage and enable the underated player to progress more quickly. i.e. player x played a month ago and did reasonably well. on 1st September he/she sees the fruits of his/her labour and the Fide grade has already increased on Sept 1st whereas before it would have happened on October 1st. During September player x might have taken up scuba diving but instead encouraged by seeing their grade increase decided to already plan their participation in a chess event in October.
If player x had gone on a mad binge of chess playing and played 20 fide rated games in 3 months just perhaps he/she was keen and eager enough to do so in 2 months!? if so the rate of visible increase would have been 1/3rd quicker if updated in 2 months rather than 3 months. Having seen the fruits of their labour more quickly player x may feel more stimulated to undergo the same process again. So hats off to those who organised the Dundee Fide Congress and we're really sorry we couldn't make it this time also many thanks to all those involved in the excellent Scottish Championships.

I'll second the above as an idea but perhaps there are technical obstacles? Very Happy
