Hello,

Hope you are well. Just a quick reminder for the Law Society Of Scotland Secondary Chess Team Allegro Tournament, which shall be taking place at Scone Racecourse, by Perth, on Sunday 17th Feburary.

The tournament shall consist of secondary teams, with 3 players per team. 5 rounds shall be played with each player having 25 minutes each. There are numerous prizes contributing to over £500 in the prize fund. With chess resources for the schools, board prizes and cash prizes - first place being £50 per player!!!

In addition the Philip Hogarty Memorial event shall be ran alongside the Law Society event. This will be open to those in or applying for further education i.e college/uni, in a gap year or work experience year out. It shall be a 5 round individual allegro and should be a strong event with some of Scotland and Irelands top junior internationalists.

This event is promoting quality in terms of prizes and our fantastic venue, trying to engage with an age group that have few opportunities available to them soley and promote chess postively. We hope you will pelase try encourage any players you think may be interested.

We look forward to seeing you on the day. For more information please check the calender adverts for entry form and contact details. www.chessscotland.com

Kind Regards

Lynsey Shovlin
