The Eastwood Allegro will be on Monday May 21st at Clarkston halls. 7:00pm start. Usual £6 for adults and £3.50 for Juniors under 16. Until I get the entry form sent in to be put on the calendar - probably this weekend depending on whether the weather/fishing is good - you can e mail entries to me at

craig.postlethwaite@tiscali.co.uk

The form will give details for postal and phone entries. It won't be Brian so don't just send off a cheque to him!!!

In order to save a bit of cash that we can then add to prizes we're not planning to send out masses of forms around all the clubs as most of them will be finishing for the season anyway. If any club wants forms then they can e mail me and I'll send some out.

As an incentive to enter early I'll hand out some of my wife's tablet to anyone who enters before the 14th May. The sugar rush you'll get from it should allow you to play 100 moves in about 30 seconds flat. As a disincentive to entering late if we get more than 50% of entries after the 14th I'll wear shorts on the night and expose legs that make Andy Howie's look like Elle McPhersons's..... Shocked

Joking aside the last couple of years have had a good entry and we are limited to the number of places so if you want to play please enter early. The tablet offer still stands.

Somebody tell me what's happening with this. Its my club's event (Giffnock) and I heard a rumour recently that I might be running it when I thought I was simply turning up in the evening to help control it.

13 days only to go- don't be superstitious guys, talk to me today.

I hear through the grapevine that the event is definitely running. More details when I get them.

Eastwood Allegro is on. A few entries are already in but the sooner people enter the better as we'll be able to give an indication of where the sections will split.

Phil will be controlling the Main/Open Section and I'll probably do the challengers/minor section. If I don't then Andy MacQueen will while playing in the Main section - he's a man of many talents.

Phone entries to Andy on 01505 863521.

Start of first round is 19:00 prompt so we can all be finish around 10:00/10:15 and hopefully have prizes etc sorted by 10:30. If controllers can be there by 6:15 and players by 6:45 everything should go smoothly.

HI,

Can we get the Eastoowd Allegro posting on the main noticeboard rather than the members-only one?

Hi,

There is the entry form on the calendar page on the main CS site. My original posting was because we still had to get the form up.

As Andy has now blocked guests from posting anywhere on the board then I'm not sure why we have member only bits of the board now. Rather than have one tournament on the main board maybe Andy can either open up the whole board to non members or shift this section.

Cheers
Craig
