Bearsden Chess Club extends a warm invitation to all chess-players (seniors and juniors of all ages) to join us in marking Club member, Jacob Aagaard’s brilliant achievement in becoming British Chess Champion at the 94th British Championships held in August.

Jacob will give a short talk on his experience at the Championship, giving some insights into the crucial moments.

He will then play up to 30 games simultaneously, against all-comers*.

Players of the top three games, amongst the seniors, will each win a chess book, while the top three juniors will each win book-tokens. All players will receive a signed certificate.

Tea/ coffee / biscuits etc, will be served.

Entry fee £8 (£6) Juniors £5

* In the interests of the players, Jacob plays very fast in simultaneous exhibitions. Accordingly, Bearsden Chess Club may impose an upper grading limit of c2100.
