Can anyone give me a working link to where I can download the games from the Scottish Championships?

The PGN generator does not apear to work, TWIC gives the same games (from round 1) twice... and none from round 2

I also noted that on the live coverage of round 2, Mark Sanderson had a won position - then the game stopped and the results how he lost, there must have been some sort of blip.

Thanks in advance.

Kenny

Kenny,

I'm sure there will be a full .PGN of the games we can download at the end - but in the meantime...

The 4 broadcasts so far are therefore...
http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r1/r1.pgn
http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r1b/r1b.pgn
http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r2a/r2a.pgn
http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r2b/r2b.pgn

If you look carefully you can work out how to do this for any of the broadcasted games....

If you copy the URL from the live games e.g. http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r1/tfd.htm

then change the tfd.htm part to reflect the round to be r1.pgn at the end of the URL.

e.g. http://rs7.blueapricot.com/scottish/2011/r1/r1.pgn

cheers
Wm

Thanks Andy - that's even better. Although the PGN link doesn't seem to be working...

Worked it out. You need to right click and save as. PGN then downloads. Not sure if this is because I am using Firefox and not IE.

Not for me it doesn't. I can open in a new tab as an html but not download as a pgn.

JUst my luck eh? I can get the Kazan championships and the games from a junior tournament in Thailand, but I can't get the Scottish Chaqmpionships in either IE or Firefox or Chrome.

Anyway know the mailing address where I could send a SAE?

K Smile

No, don't think so, not here it does not. Also at the bottom of the page I see the button all games in PGN here just goes no where.. server not found or removed or some such thing.

However. Would you or some other kind hearted soul be so good as tp please post the web address just to make sure I am on the correct page?

The one I am trying is:
http://www.sncl.org.uk/scotchamps2011/index.html

Why is it that all the tournaments in the world this one should require specialised knowledge to download a PGN file? Right click this, use that browser... every other one is just click and wham CB opens. Are we elitist or what?

The other thing is that on TWIC the PGN download is wrong as well, why is that? Can someone not sort this out? Makes this Championship - our premier tournament - a little shoddy looking from afar if anyone is trying to follow the games.

Anyway I am going to visit old smokey tonorrow and see the games for myself...

I have worked out what the problem is. Believe it or not it is file permissions. Webfusion is throwing a wobbly if I put pgn files on the webspace.

Getting round it by zipping the files. Give me 10 mins and it will be fixed.

Sorry if I am making our tournament "Shoddy"

Cheers

No we are tired volunteers who have been at it for hours doing things manually at times when the software crashes so you get to see the game.
