Not judged by me but by Gavin Saxton.
Though I no doubt would have followed the Burnett trend.
(this is his 3rd Brillo prize at the Edinburgh Congress).

I should probably observe that it was advertised as a Best Game prize rather than a Brilliancy prize. You can discuss amongst yourselves whether those are the same thing.

Tough decision anyway, some very good games, some that were flashier and some that were more double-edged and looked more fun to play. But Black in this game - besides some very creative play to open lines in the first instance - seemed to have the game much more in control the whole way, White never gets a sniff and ends up being crushed without seeming to do very much wrong.
