...and here all the games from Round 6.

CSM sacs the exchange yet again - this time in 7 moves!

Perhaps he got bullied at school by a Rook - who knows?

Geoff,

Didn't we have 4 queens on the board at the end of one game (David v Nik I think)?

Are you saying both these players cheated if Alan was the first to promote?

Although that was certainly the first time I had to go to the spare set to get the extra queen. Almost made carrying the extra weight worth it.

Ha Ha.

I did one of the search things on DB and it only showed Alan's game.

By default it only looked up to move 40.
These computers things really are totally useless.

There have been a couple after move 40 - corrected the The Corner.

Some of the games have been excellent and so few draws.
Jacob & John have done a wonderful job in getting this show on the road.

I'm going to be kind of sad when it ends.
It's been good going the club every night of the week.
It reminds me of how I spent the years 1976-1981.
In the club every night of the week.

Geoff you left without your book from John. Neil Berry has it for you.

3rd Berry

Geoff's last round report should appear on Chandler Cornered later - if his wife hasn't killed him!!!

Final report down.

She was not too happy - said I'd be home early as last round
not much to play for. So Mitchell v Eggleston goes on and on and on
and on and on and on....

Finall table, last round games - Mikkelson v Greet is brill.
and a few pics.

What book?

I took away two Street Fighter's to pass onto my German friend
who is visiting me this week - wait till Mrs C meets her.
Then I will be in trouble.

Good tournament recomend you download the pgn when it's
posted on the CS website.
Though most of the games are on The Corner or on the Quality Books site.

Gosh Corner now totals 369 - going to quit at 400.
It's done it's thing.

I'm sure a lot of folks, like me, will be very sorry when that day comes.
You deserve another award (and more) for the Corner: and there's the basis for a good chess anthology there.
